Frequently Asked Questions
WHY SHOULD I ADOPT INSTEAD OF BUY?
There are many amazing dogs that are euthanized every day at kill shelters. Â Buying a dog means that other dogs will continue to be put down and helps to keep abusive puppy mills and stores in business.
WHAT IS THE ADOPTION PROCESS?
Our process consists of 3 steps. Your application will be reviewed to make certain the dog you are interested in is a good match for your household. If so, the foster parent will contact you to discuss adoption further. A home visit must be completed and approved prior to setting up a time to meet the dog. The final step is the meet and greet. If we find that you are not a match for the dog you applied for, we will contact you to see if you would be interested in another available dog more closely suited to your lifestyle.
WHAT IS THE COST TO ADOPT?
Adoption fees vary and will be listed on each dog’s profile on our website. Since we are a non-profit organization, adoption fees help to recover the cost of vetting, food, and transportation for the dogs. Unfortunately, we are not able to negotiate individual adoption fees. All adoption fees are used directly to save more dogs.
